Dr. Chun Hoi Yan is the President of the Hong Kong Orthopaedic Association. He is also director of the Joint Replacement Centre, Gleneagles Hong Kong Hospital. Dr. Yan graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong in 2001. He began his training in Queen Mary Hospital in 2002 and obtained his fellowship in orthopaedic surgery in 2008. Before he left HKU, he was a clinical associate professor and the chief of division of joint replacement surgery in the Department of Orthopaedics & Traumatology.

Dr. Yan is an expert in hip and knee arthroplasty. He has published over 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals, won many awards for his research works, and been an invited speaker to many international, regional and local scientific meetings. Dr. Yan is dedicated in medical education and specialist training. He was the deputy censor of the Hong Kong College of Orthopaedic Surgeons 2019-2020.
