I am a general orthopaedic surgeon in both private and public practice in Cairns. I have fellowships in pelvic and acetabular trauma, general trauma and spinal trauma. I have been practicing in Cairns now for over 24 years. I am currently the President of the Australian Orthopaedic Association. a past chairperson of AOTrauma Asia Pacific and vice chairperson of the AOTrauma International Board. I am an examiner of the Royal College of Surgeons, a reviewer for the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Surgery and- founder of Adept IME, a medicolegal company.
